1:00 – 2:00 Welcome and Panel discussion on key issues for REF impact case studies (ICS) and developing ICS

Panel chair: Julia Bennell (Executive Dean, LUBS)

Panel members:

  *   Robert Blackburn (Chair, REF UOA17 Panel) – overview of the REF assessment process with an emphasis on how ICS were handled
  *   Terry Warren (REF UOA17 Panel impact assessor) – examples of characteristics that he considered important for high-quality ICS
  *   Mark Stuart (REF UOA17 Panel member and Pro Dean Research & Innovation, LUBS) – the link between research evidence and ICS
  *   Nigel Driffield (REF UOA17 Panel member) – the link between policy evidence and ICS



2:00 – 2:45 Presentation of the analysis of REF impact case studies
