You are a learning scientist with a focus on science education and experience carrying out research studies of formal and/or informal learning environments. You have deep knowledge of discipline-based education research. You have a strong understanding of A Framework for K-12 Science Education (NRC, 2012), the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and NGSS storylines. Your knowledge of NGSS includes a clear understanding of the paradigmatic shifts required of the NGSS, as well as the current literature supporting and challenging its premises. Most importantly, you want to be part of an empowered team that builds research-based products that help students learn.
