Your participation is requested in this study examining how scientists make data collection decisions and how robots can team with humans to support better decision making. You will be asked to complete a simulated scientific data collection scenario. In the scenario you will be provided with an initial hypothesis and asked to sample data until you are confident enough to accept or reject the hypothesis. A simulated robot will assist you in making decisions about where to collect data to evaluate the hypothesis. At the conclusion of the simulation, you will be asked to complete a brief follow-up survey. Note – your data will only be logged if you complete the entire scenario (including follow-up survey).

Participation in this study takes 20 - 30 minutes. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
