JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Management at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) seeks a diverse group of outstanding
applicants for an open-rank tenure track position in the area of Sustainability Management or a closely related field such as
Business Ethics and Strategy starting from Fall 2023. Successful candidates will join a growing, dynamic department and be committed to teaching, scholarship, and student success. As a part of the AACSB accredited Jack H. Brown College of Business
and Public Administration (JHBC), the Management Department has over 40 full-time and part-time faculty and staff serving more than 800 students in two (2) undergraduate programs (Management and Human Resource Management), at two campuses (San Bernardino and
Palm Desert), and an MBA concentration. The department has a diversified faculty who are committed to high-quality teaching, scholarly research, and services.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Expectations for the position include teaching classes related to Sustainability Management and another management
discipline (ideally Business Ethics and/or Strategy) at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and significant participation in program development and leadership. Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence
in teaching, scholarly research, professional work, and service to the University and community. Preferred candidates should have the experience and interest in leading the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) program. Candidates must also
have a strong interest and skills that enable them to participate in building curriculum, developing innovative academic and experiential programs, taking on leadership roles within the department, and developing and maintaining relationships with the local
business community. It is also expected that the person filling this position will play an active role in maintaining student engagement, advisement of students in the Management concentration, and serving on department, college, and university-wide committees.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population
and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
