HEC Montréal – Faculty Position in International Business The Department of International Business of HEC Montréal is recruiting new faculty members (full-time Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) starting in June 2023. The successful candidate will engage in high-quality research and teaching on the changing global economic landscape and the practical challenges that it entails for companies. HEC Montréal<https://www.hec.ca/en/index.html> is an internationally renowned business school, with over 14,000 students, and trains more than 9,000 executives and managers every year. HEC Montréal holds many prestigious accreditations (AACSB International, EQUIS and AMBA), and offers over 100 programs of study from bachelor’s to doctoral levels. Department of International Business: The Department of International Business (www.hec.ca/affint<http://www.hec.ca/affint>) consists of 15 full-time professors from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. Faculty members have published their research in various leading academic journals including Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, Regional Studies, Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal and World Development. Requirements: Candidates should have the following qualifications: * Ph.D. in international business or a related field completed or in the process of being completed. * Achievements that demonstrate, according to the professor rank, strong skills or high potential in the field of university research. * Passionate about teaching and interacting with students at various levels. * Willing to learn French. The selected person must be able to teach and work in French after 2 years in the position; he or she will receive substantial support to achieve this goal, such as a reduction in the teaching load and a personalized program for learning French. The main teaching language at HEC Montréal is French. Since HEC Montréal also offers courses in English, a good knowledge of English, spoken and written, is required.
