Dear colleagues,

A brief note to share news about a recent AUDIO version release of Transition Economies: Transformation, Development, and Society in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union <https://goo.gl/jSN65c> (Routledge).

The audio version is accessible through various services (including, Amazon<https://www.amazon.com/Transition-Economies-Transformation-Development-Society-dp-B0B3F7XS7P/dp/B0B3F7XS7P/ref=mt_other?_encoding=UTF8&me=&qid=1533741621>) and directly from Audiobooks<https://www.audiobooks.com/audiobook/transition-economies-transformation-development-and-society-in-eastern-europe-and-the-former-soviet-union/586611> and adds to the already available Instructor’s Manual<https://www.routledge.com/Transition-Economies-Transformation-Development-and-Society-in-Eastern/Gevorkyan/p/book/9781138831131>, making the book easy to adopt in teaching economic development, economic history, political economy, international business, comparative economic systems classes.

The book is about economic history of the post-socialist Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia. Structured around ten interconnected chapters, the book analyses the emergence of the socialist economic model; adaptations of the model across EE/FSU and elsewhere; critical review of the 1990s market transition reforms; post-2008 crisis development; and the social and economic diversity across the region today. In many ways, the analysis that runs through the book offers a foundation for our understanding and interpretation of more contemporary macroeconomic trends in the region.

All the best,
Alec
