GM SIG Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award

 

 

The AMA Global Marketing SIG is pleased to announce that Sourindra Banerjee, Jaideep Prabhu, and Rajesh Chandy are the winners of the 2022 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award. Their winning article “Indirect Learning: How Emerging-Market Firms Grow in Developed Markets” published in the Journal of Marketing (2015).

 

The Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award recognizes an outstanding article published in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal that has made a significant contribution to the literature on global marketing in the previous 10 years (2012-2021). A panel of past winners of the Global Marketing SIG award, current and past editors/co-editors of the Journal of International Marketing, and other distinguished academics appointed by the board of directors of the AMA Global Marketing SIG selected the winner. This year’s selection committee for the Award was comprised of Adamantios Diamantopoulos (University of Vienna and Committee Chair), Katrijn Gielens (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), and Ayºegül Özsomer (Koç University).

 

The Global Marketing SIG thanks all who took the time to nominate for articles for the 2022 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award and especially appreciates all the work the award committee put into selecting the winning article.

 

The Excellence in Global Marketing Research will be presented at the 2022 AMA Global Marketing Conference in Crete, Greece. Please join us in offering congratulations to Sourindra Banerjee, Jaideep Prabhu, and Rajesh Chandy for their outstanding contribution to the global marketing field!
