It is a pleasure to introduce you to the first newsletter of 2022 and proudly share with you our new logo which is the result of the recent rebranding of the STEP Project Global Consortium. European Regional Meeting

We co-hosted the first in-person "STEP Project European Meeting-Teaming-up for Research with Impact" with our affiliate Audencia on April 1. NEW AFFILIATE

We welcomed our new affiliate ESCP Business School, Italy ranked 13th in Europe while ranking 2nd in Italy by the Financial Times in 2022.

The STEP Project-ESCP Team is led by Professor Chiara Succi who is a Professor of Organization Behavior.

OUR ACTIVITIES

We successfully held the first STEP Project Conversation Series in association with our affiliate Audencia, on March 31, 2022. The topic of discussion was challenges and opportunities for regeneration in family businesses, with our keynote speakers Professor James Davis and William Gartner. We would like to especially thank Miruna Radu-Lefebvre and her team at Audencia for organizing such an interactive and engaging conversation series. Watch the full Conversation Series here

The AUS Affiliate and STEP Project Global Consortium Chairman, Rodrigo Basco was invited to speak at the EDHEC Business School Family Business Research Center to talk about how family businesses dealt with the unprecedented times during the COVID-19 pandemic and the war hostilities, and how they have subsequently leveraged and built their resilience.

Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)

Read the Family First Institute - FFI Research Report by the members of the STEP Project - CUHK Team; Kevin Au, Marshall Jen, and Jeremy Cheng. The report sheds light on the dynamic durability in entrepreneurial families and disruptions.

Grand Valley State University (GVSU)

Apply to the Family Owned Business Institute's 2022-23 Scholar in Residence Program to build relationships between researchers at the Seidman College of Business at GVSU and family business researchers at other prominent schools around the globe to produce scholarly research in the family business field.

Indian School of Business (ISB)
