WEBINAR PARTICIPANTS

Michael Witt is a Senior Affiliate Professor of Strategy and International Business at INSEAD, based in Singapore.  He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Harvard University and an A.B. from Stanford University. Michael is an expert on the institutional and geopolitical context of international business. His publications include 7 pieces in the Journal of International Business Studies as well as articles in Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business, Asian Business & Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Business Policy, Management and Organization Review, and Socio-Economic Review. Michael has further published five books with leading publishers (Cambridge, Palgrave, Oxford, SAGE) and is a Consulting Editor for JIBS as well as a Guest Editor of a planned special issues of the Journal of World Business on the topic of decoupling.

Timothy Devinney (BSc CMU; MA, MBA, PhD Chicago) is Chair and Professor of International Business at Alliance Manchester Business School (UK).  He has held positions at U. Chicago, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Australian Graduate School of Management and the University of Leeds as well as having been a visitor at many other universities. He has published 12+ books and 100+ articles in leading journals and served on more than a dozen editorial boards. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Management (AOM), Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS), the Royal Society of Arts, Academy of International Business (AIB), the European International Business Academy (EIBA) and an Alexander von Humboldt Research Awardee and Fellow.  He sits on several charity and corporate boards and regularly consults with leading corporations around the globe.

Taras Danko is a Professor of International Business at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” Ukraine. He heads International Business 4.0 Laboratory where his research interests primarily focus on corporate foresight in international business, the fourth industrial revolution in the emerging markets context, the fourth industrial revolution implications for international business, and international competitiveness in the era of technology-driven disruptions. He is an elected chair of the board at the Ukrainian Association for Management Development and Business Education, 2021-2024. Also, he is a visiting professor at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany. He is available on LinkedIn, ResearchGate and Twitter.

Andreja Jaklič is a professor and head of research at the Centre of International Relations and Vice Dean Research at Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Her research and teaching span across three disciplinary areas, including International Business, International Economics, and European studies. Her main research interests are international trade, foreign direct investment, global value chains and internationalization strategies, particularly in CEE.She gathered experience from several academic and applied international research projects, consultancy to national and international organizations, governmental agencies and businesses. She is cooperating with a number of European and Chinese Universities and her publications include over 50 scientific articles in scientific journals (JBR, JWB, IBR, Service Industries, etc.), several monographs (eg. Enhanced Transition through Outward Internationalization, 2003) and book chapters.

Piotr Trapczynski is Associate Professor at the Department of International Competitiveness, Poznan University of Economics and Business (PUEB) and Director at the Knowledge Transfer Company Ltd. (subsidiary of the PUEB). He is also co-founder and Vice-Chair of the AIB-CEE Chapter (since 2013). He conducted research in several academic centers, including the Hamburg University of Technology (2020-2021), University of Bremen (2017) or ESCP Europe Berlin (2009-2011), and served as visiting professor inter alia at the University of Vaasa or the University of Ljubljana. His research interests include internationalization into and from emerging and transition economies (with focus on the CEE region), export and FDI performance, as well as mixed-method research. He is author and co-author of related publications including the Journal of Business Research, Journal of World Business, International Business Review or European Management Journal.

Dana Minbaeva has published around 50 articles in international peer reviewed journals, numerous book chapters and reports.  She received several national and international awards to research achievements, including the prestigious 2013 JIBS Decade Award. Professor Minbaeva has extensive editorial experience and currently serves as Journal of International Business Studies’ Area Editor. She is also on the Editorial Boards for top international journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of World Business, among others. Previously, she has taught in Kazakhstan, Russia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Finland and Germany as well as having held visiting research positions in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Canada.

Lukasz Puslecki is the Chair and Co-founder of the Academy of International Business (AIB) Central and Easter Europe Chapter (AIB-CEE), Principal investigator in a NCN (National Science Centre) – funded project (2015/19/D/HS4/00414) entitled “Analysis of Open Innovation Alliances and Strategic Partnerships in the Biopharmaceutical Industry in Poland and CEE countries”, Assistant Professor at the Department of International Management, Institute of International Business and Economics, Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB). Dr. Puslecki  holds positions in several professional and academic institutions. He is a Visiting Professor at ISCTE Business School – Lisbon University Institute (Portugal), Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham Business School (UK), University of Regensburg (Germany) and University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNCC) (China).
