We are looking for support at the

Institute for International Business
Part-time, 30 hours/week
Starting earliest May 02, 2022 , and limited until September 30, 2025

Do you want to conduct high-quality academic research on strategies of firm internationalization and growth? The third-party funded research position is affiliated to the Institute of International Business (EA Prof. Puck) and offers the possibility to pursue a PhD (or doctorate) degree focusing on international business strategy with particular focus on finance. In addition, the successful candidate will organizationally contribute to the aims of the third-party project through transfer activities and dissemination of research to Austrian firms. Work hours and location are semi-flexible.
What to expect

  *   You will conduct independent research on international entrepreneurial strategies under the supervision and guidance of senior academic supervisors.
  *   You will collect and analyse firm-level data using state-of-the-art scientific methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
  *   You will help organize and take part in transfer events of the research for practice.
  *   You will assist the teaching mission of the project to integrate research results in teaching.
What you have to offer

  *   We are looking for applicants with a strong academic record, including either a completed relevant Master degree in International Business or a related field (MSc or equivalent) or an equivalent degree in Data Science Education with additional business qualifications.
  *   For research purposes, we expect you to have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  *   To collaborate with Austrian industry partners, a working knowledge of German is required.
  *   Prior knowledge of data analysis techniques and software (R, STATA, or similar) is strongly recommended.
  *   A strong motivation to connect academic research and industry practice is a key requirement for this role.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €2,293.95, this salary may be adjusted based on job-related prior work experience.
