This position will serve as the Jackson County wildlife biologist with additional duties related to the management of the central Wisconsin elk herd, and will be stationed in Black River Falls. Due to the specialized job duties of this position, this recruitment will only be used to fill the Black River Falls vacancy. This is a highly unique and diverse position with opportunities to work in both the driftless and central forest landscapes of WI, assist in the management of over 200,000 acres of public land including the Black River State Forest, Jackson County Forest, and multiple wildlife and fishery areas, and work with most of the wildlife species that Wisconsin calls home.
