Call for Papers
Joint JIBS-JIBP Paper Development Workshop at the
48th Academy of International Business UK & Ireland Chapter Conference

Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK
7 April 2022
Extended submission deadline: Friday, March 11, 2022

The 2022 joint Paper Development Workshop (PDW) of the Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of International Business Policy will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 at Henley Business School, University of Reading. The workshop takes place before the 2022 AIB-UKI Chapter Conference<https://www.aib-uki.org/conference.html>. It is being held late in the afternoon (16:00-18:30) so participants are also able to participate in the Research Methods Workshop<https://www.aib-uki.org/workshops1.html> and the Doctoral Colloquium<https://www.aib-uki.org/doctoral-colloquium.html> associated with the conference.

The purpose of the PDW is to provide scholars with developmental feedback on their international business research. There will be a plenary session on publishing and then authors will be paired with senior International Business scholars from the JIBS or JIBP Editorial Board for a small group discussion about their paper.

We invite original papers from new authors who have not previously published in their targeted journal, JIBS or JIBP. We particularly encourage submissions from scholars who are at universities that offer limited research support, or who are trained in disciplines less commonly associated with the field (e.g. geography, political science or history) but are interested in targeting international business journals.

Prospective participants should submit their paper by email, by Friday, March 11 (to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> ). An applicant may submit only one paper, but may submit the same paper for presentation at the conference. The cover page should include your name, email address and affiliation. Papers must conform to the style guidelines for conference paper submissions, listed on the conference website<https://www.aib-uki.org/paper-submission.html>. All participants must register for the conference before they confirm workshop attendance.

Participants will be notified about the acceptance of their submissions on a rolling basis, and by Tuesday March 15. They will be required to register for the conference and confirm their participation by Wednesday March 23 (after which the registration fees increase). If they wish that a more up-to-date version of their paper is discussed at the workshop, they will be able to submit one up until Monday, March 28.
