The last few years have crystallised the growing sense that organisational success must take account of all stakeholders in business and the economy. King's Business School has been at the centre of that conversation and we put our commitment to drive positive change at the heart of our research and education.

We are part of an internationally renowned university with a track-record of pioneering thinking and have the limitless energies of London's businesses, policy-makers, entrepreneurs and change-makers to draw on. This is an exciting place for collaboration and innovation that will help to make the world a better place and we are looking for a Professor to join us.

The Business School aims to recruit a Professor of International Business to join the Strategy, International Management and Entrepreneurship (SIME) Group. The SIME Group has a strong research reputation in developing theory, methods, and knowledge to advance our understanding of business, innovation, and entrepreneurial activity in an international institutional context. Research comprises four core themes: (1) international business, comparative management, and strategy, (2) global strategies for sustainability and corporate social responsibility, (3) knowledge-intensive firms, innovation, and appropriability, and (4) entrepreneurship from a comparative and social dimension. Not only has the SIME Group built extensive research networks through international academic collaborations, but it has also a strong commitment to developing research impact through links with relevant policymakers and practitioners. Group members regularly publish in leading journals in management, international business, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The successful candidate will be a scholar with an international reputation and will be recognised as having made a significant and innovative contribution in the field of international business. The post holder will be expected to strengthen the Business School's research capacity and will require a publication list that includes peer reviewed articles published in world-leading, relevant journals. Research in the core themes of SIME is desirable. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to initiate and lead funded research projects, together with a commitment to launching new ones. The Group hosts two highly successful MScs, an MSc in International Management and an MSc in Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation, as well as more broadly teaching on a wide range of core and optional modules. The incoming Professor will have scope to shape the future offering.

The post holder will be joining a vibrant and ambitious Business School, where there are additional opportunities to take a major leadership role and enhance the profile of the SIME Group with external stakeholders. Willingness to develop the activities of the Group, notably in building collaborative global networks, supporting the delivery of high-performing teaching programmes, promoting interdisciplinarity and research excellence, and ensuring student satisfaction, are highly desirable.

The selection process will include a presentation and panel interview. Further details will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
