Special Track for Special Issue Paper Development: Financial Market Misconduct
Scope of the Conference: We are delighted to invite you to the 3rd Annual Boca Corporate Finance and Governance Conference, which will be Hybrid, both in person at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and virtually on 10th and 11th December 2022.
The conference will feature a special track for papers on Financial Market Misconduct, to promote development of submissions to a special issue of the Journal of Banking Finance (JBF). The track will be managed by Professor Carol Alexander, co-editor of JBF.
We invite the submission of original papers on all aspects of corporate finance and corporate governance, and for the special track on financial market misconduct.
Topics of interest include: capital structure, corporate and securities law, corporate culture, corporate failure, corporate finance and public policy, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, corporate social responsibility, crowdfunding, dividends, payout policy, and repurchases, entrepreneurial finance, family business, financial contracting, financial intermediation, financial literacy, fintech, fraud, innovation, IPOs and SEOs, mergers and acquisitions, misconduct, private debt, private equity, trade credit, socially responsible investments, sustainable finance, real options, and venture capital.
The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum to gain feedback on timely working papers from scholars in finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, international business, law, management and accounting disciplines.
Keynote Speaker: Jonathan Karpoff, University of Washington Foster School of Business
Plaques for two best papers and two best discussants will be awarded by the Corporate Governance Special Interest Group of the British Academy of Management.

JBF is an ABS 3 ranked journal (impact factor 3.07) that publishes papers in all areas of finance, ranging from asset pricing to banking to corporate finance.
(2) British Journal of Management (BJM)
BJM is an ABS 4 ranked journal (impact factor 6.099) that publishes papers in all areas of business, including corporate governance, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, strategy, etc.
(3) Review of Corporate Finance (RCF).
RCF is published by Now Publishers and commenced in 2021. RCF papers include top scholars such as Franklin Allen, Allen Berger, Omrane Guedhami, Tim Jenkinson, Richard Smith, and Konstantinos Stathopoulos, among others. See also the RCF Personal Page.
(4) Small Business Economics (SBE)
SBE is an ABS 3 ranked journal (impact factor 8.164) that publishes papers in all aspects of entrepreneurship, including governance, public policy, and finance.
(5) Journal of Technology Transfer (JTT)
JTT is an ABS 3 ranked journal (impact factor 5.69) that publishes papers in all areas of innovation and technology transfer, including management practices, public policy, and regulation.
(6) Venture Capital: An International Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance
VC is an ABS 2 ranked journal (impact factor 3.00) that publishes papers in all areas of entrepreneurial finance.

Deadlines, Dates, and Contingencies with the Covid 19 Pandemic:
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2022. We prefer a full paper but if necessary you may submit a shorter 10-page abstract if a completed paper will be ready one month prior to the conference.
Notification of Acceptance: on or before September 15, 2022.
Conference Format: With uncertainty with the Covid pandemic, as of 1 February 2022 we plan to host a hybrid conference, including both in-person and virtual participation. The Covid pandemic may require other changes over the coming months and there is ample time for you to decide whether you attend in person at our Boca Raton campus or attend from the comfort and safety of your home.

The 2020 Boca Conference drew 126 submissions from top scholars worldwide. We accepted 68 papers. The full conference program remains available online including best paper announcement and prizes.
