The USDA-funded Rainfed Agriculture Innovation Network (RAIN) project will host a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in the summer of 2022 (flyer attached). RAIN REU participants will contribute to collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects relating to rainfed agricultural production. Available research projects span a variety of methods and topics and aim to sustainably increase the productivity of rainfed agricultural systems while restoring and enhancing soil health. Ten selected students will be paired with a faculty advisor and a graduate student mentor at one of the team institutions in Kansas or Oklahoma. The program provides a generous $9,000 stipend to cover housing and living expenses of the participants. Please distribute this message widely and encourage qualified undergraduate students to apply by January 18, 2022. Descriptions of the summer research projects and the link to apply are available at https://www.rainfedag.org/summer-reu<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.rainfedag.org/summer-reu__;!!HXCxUKc!i_Dx5oQv4d9e2sXCnrBBLkWBb_3q9X_BQalMOr0CPP9C9bwybxIwhcZrymbIUpg$>.
