Good Afternoon All,

I'm pleased to announce the Green Bay Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office is hiring up to 16 seasonal fisheries technician staff (GS 404-5) for the 2021 field season. We are looking to fill field staff for our Aquatic Invasive Species Branch as well as our Native Species Branch and Partnerships and Habitat Branch. In addition, the Great lakes Tag and Recovery Branch of the Green Bay FWCO will be hiring seasonal tag recovery fisheries technicians that will be in the following areas:

  *   Milwaukee, WI
  *   Zion, IL
  *   Michigan City, IN
  *   Charleviox, MI
  *   Alpena, MI
Six of the 16 positions will be at our New Franken, WI location. All will have an opportunity to expand on their natural resources knowledge and work for one of the most diverse fisheries and aquatic conservations offices in the Great lakes. The Green Bay FWCO is responsible for federal fisheries and aquatic trust resources across the entire lake Michigan basin. We work on a very diverse set of issues and species including - but not limited to - lake sturgeon, lake trout, coregonine, and even freshwater mussels like the endangered snuffbox. In addition, the Green Bay FWCO uses the latest in technology , such as but not limited to environmental eDNA and high-speed fish tagging trailers, to help inform fisheries managers across the Lake Michigan basin.

Please pass along to anyone you think may be interested as well as other partners that may know of interested parties. Do not hesitate - the announcement is only open until 11:59 pm December 17, 2021!
