This is a great educational program and fun trade show in Grand Rapids MI at the DeVos Center.

The event is next week, Dec 7, 8 , 9 (Tue-Thur).  I am sure many of you have already registered for the program but wanted to give all some info of programs happening that may be of special interest to organic farmers and beginning farmers.  Note that beyond these programs there are many more on topics including fruit production, marketing, food safety and specific sessions on crop types. Check out the website (glexpo.org) for complete program info and to register. The price is $105-$115 (fruit)) for all 3 days or $55 for just Thursday and if you are attending ANY college the price is $25 (you will be asked to show college ID).  Here is the link to the complete program and info. https://glexpo.com/gl-expo-education-program/

Here are a few of the special sessions especially relevant to organic farmers. Hope to see you there!

Following sessions are… Especially for Beginning Farmers!! Come join us for the event! Tuesday 9-12.

This is a Meet and Greet for Beginning farmers and service providers serving beginning farmers.   You will have the opportunity to meet one another and visit with experienced farmers, extension educators and ag service providers with a chance to ask questions and make acquittances.

We will have a special tour of the trade show following this Meet and Greet Session focusing on equipment and services most often in demand by beginning farmers. Then we will meet at the Genius Bar at noon for some Michigan grown and made snacks and continue the conversation.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing you and meeting some new folks and visiting with old friends too. Its been too long since we have all been together. Travel safe and be well.  See you Tuedsay!
