Thanks, Carol.

I have always had institutional or membership access so it isn’t a problem for me.

It does make me a little sad that all the effort to keep JGE somewhat open access was lost in the transition. I understand the reasoning as publishing has costs, but I’m still sad. I have a number of colleagues who cannot afford even the small cost of NAGT membership.

Best

Julie

hi Julie,

NAGT members have online access if an individual is not able to access articles through their institution. That change happened in 2018, when NAGT started publishing via Taylor and Francis.

cheers,

Carol

Does anyone know if JGE changed it’s open access policy? I noticed that when I don’t login into my university, Taylor & Francis is charging $53 to access papers. The model used to be a one year embargo and then open access. It isn’t a problem for me, but I need to be able to communicate the policy changes to my colleagues who do not have institutional subscriptions to JGE.

Enjoy your end of semester!

Julie
