To compete effectively today and remain sustainable over the long-term, business organizations must create a flexible means of generating competitive advantage given the hypercompetitive nature of the global marketplace in all industries including tourism. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the situation, thus requiring the tourism industry to reassess itself and realign operations with global and local realities. This publication examines various aspects of the hospitality, recreation, and tourism industries that are not commonly included in similar Reference books within a single volume.

This publication will add value to the hospitality, recreation, and tourism industry via empirical research, theoretical development, and current best practices, especially considering the increased global hypercompetition following the recent pandemic.

Target Audience

The primary target audience for the proposed publication is scholars in hospitality, recreation, and tourism who need contemporary Reference material for their own qualitative and quantitative research projects. The secondary target audience is graduate students in the same field(s) who require the same Reference material for their research projects and dissertations/theses. The publication can also be used by practitioners in the tourism industry who wish to enhance their operations with recent and relevant research.
