The Organic Association of Kentucky seeks a part-time Research Coordinator
to analyze agriculture research and conduct associated outreach required to adapt a Farm Sustainability Assessment Tool (FSAT) to be trialed in Kentucky. The tool has been designed and developed by the Sustainable Food Trust and operates within a framework
of Global Farm Metrics (GFM) that measure on-farm sustainability. The Research Coordinator leads OAK’s project to adapt and trial the tool in Kentucky. If you are an early-career or experienced researcher, familiar with national data and scholarly articles
on agriculture productivity, pricing, crop nutrients, agriculture greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable farming practices then give this opportunity a close look. This position reports to the Executive Director while working closely with key farmer stakeholders,
sustainable farming specialists and researchers. This is a flexible position working with dynamic domestic and international partners to create a highly collaborative, peer-reviewed, and open-sourced tool to help farms thrive.
The project is underway and this position is open until filled.
Applications received by November 1st, 2021 will be given priority.
