 The Department of International Business of HEC Montréal is recruiting new faculty members (full-time Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) starting in June 2022. The successful candidate will engage in high-quality research and teaching on the changing global economic landscape and the practical challenges that it entails for companies.



HEC Montréal: Founded in 1907, HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca<http://www.hec.ca/>) is one of the oldest and largest business schools in North America. The School has more than 13,000 students in its 38 business programs, from the undergraduate to postgraduate levels, and employs more than 220 tenure or tenure-track professors. It was the first business school in North America to be accredited by all three agencies AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Its M.Sc. and MBA program consistently rank among the world’s best.



Department of International Business: The Department of International Business (www.hec.ca/affint<http://www.hec.ca/affint>) consists of 15 full-time professors from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. Faculty members have published their research in various leading academic journals including Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, Regional Studies, Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal and World Development. The Department offers a broad selection of MBA courses in international business, offers an international business major and minor at the B.A.A. level, a M.Sc. in international business<https://www.hec.ca/en/programs/masters/master-international-business/index.html> and a M.Sc. in Global Supply Chain<https://www.hec.ca/en/programs/masters/master-global-supply-chain-management/index.html> , and an international business major at the Ph.D. level<https://www.hec.ca/en/programs/phd/phd-international-business/index.html>.



Requirements: Candidates should have the following qualifications:

·       Ph.D. in international business or a related field completed or in the process of being completed.

·       An established record or high potential of solid scholarly research commensurate with rank.

·       Passionate about teaching and interacting with students at various levels.

·       Willing to learn French. The School’s inception program provides excellent support (including teaching load reduction) to become fluent in French within two years.
