Manna Food Project (Manna) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization begun in 1987 with a mission to help feed the hungry in Antrim, Charlevoix, and Emmet counties. Manna is a partner organization of the national Feeding America Food Bank Network.
Manna operates a food bank and distribution center, a food rescue program, a community food pantry, and the “Food 4 Kids” backpack program. Manna is a well-respected community-based organization that succeeds through a shared passion for helping those in need.
Manna is seeking an Executive Director to manage its day-to-day operations, headquartered in Harbor Springs, MI. This is a full-time year-round position that reports to a local Board of Directors and has oversight of a staff of seven people.
Qualified candidates will have prior experience in the following areas:
· Strategic Planning
· Financial management and budget preparation
· Regulatory Standards
· Grant Writing
· Fund Raising
· Staff and Board Relations
· Donor and Volunteer Relations
The ideal Executive Director will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business or related field, six to ten years of leadership experience within a non-profit organization, preferably in the hunger-relief sector, and possess strong communication skills that will allow them to passionately share our mission, written and verbal, of feeding those in need throughout the many Northwest Michigan communities we serve.
The compensation range is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefit package. ($75,000 - $110,000).
