Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to share the online publication of the covid-19 special issue of the journal "cpoib - critical perspectives on international business" (volume 17, issue 2, 2021).

This special issue was developed out of a number of zoom webinars in order to "accelerate research on the contemporary global crisis".

Guest edited by Rudolf R. Sinkovics, Christoph Dörrenbächer, Florian Becker-Ritterspach, Mehdi Boussebaa, Louise Curran, Alice de Jonge, and Zaheer Khan, the time to market for this special issue ultimately followed standard processes and thus was not as accelerated as desired, but we have captured fascinating papers with great line-up of authors.

Thanks to all the contributors and reviewer for the hard work under stressful conditions, not least the production unit in India which is now under enormous pressure.

Papers in the special issue:
