Dear members of the AIB community This is to inform you that the call for applications to 5th edition of the Urbino PhD in Global Studies is now open. This edition will focus on "International Economic Policy, Business and Governance". Ten positions are offered. The deadline for applications is June 17th. Thanks for your attention and apologies for cross-posting Antonello Zanfei PhD Director www.uniurb.it/global-studies *URBINO PhD in GLOBAL STUDIES_CALL FOR APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN* The* Fifth edition *of the* PhD Programme in Global Studies *has been launched by the University of Urbino, Italy. The deadline for applications is *June 17th 2021 at 13:00 CEST*. Online applications from the website: www.uniurb.it/global-studies *Ten positions* are offered in the 2021-2022 Ph.D. Programme, including *nine positions with scholarships* covering fees and an annual tax-free stipend at standard Italian rates (increased by 50% for training periods outside Italy). The upcoming 2021-2022 edition focuses on the following thematic area : *International Economic Policy, Business and Governance*. A specific attention will be given to: • economic growth, technological change, inequality and environmental sustainability challenges; • the international strategies of firms (multinational corporations and SMEs), finance and labour; • political processes and policies of international, national and regional institutions for the governance of globalisation. *English *is the working language of the Ph.D. Programme. The Ph.D. Programme is developed over three years (from Fall 2021 until Fall 2024) and will be organised as follows: • a first year of courses and exams in Urbino; • a second year of international research and training, mainly spent in international institutions associated to the Programme; • a third year of research activity for completing the Ph.D. thesis. *Anti-Covid-19 safety measures*: Introductory courses will be offered *online* between September and October 2021. We are confident that *face-to-face* teaching activities will be gradually resumed, complying with anti-Covid-19 safety regulations. Nevertheless, the Urbino University is fully equipped to deliver online classes and seminars if necessary. *The Faculty* of the Ph.D. Programme draws from the staff of the University of Urbino and from a number of outstanding international institutions. *Services*. Low-cost accommodation opportunities in the center of the beautiful Renaissance city of Urbino and surroundings.
