The HHMI Inclusive Excellence Team at Arizona State
University seeks applicants for postdoctoral research scholars in
inclusive science education. Our team is focused on making
undergraduate science programs at ASU more inclusive, with a specific
focus on our online degree programs and online courses. These
postdoctoral scholars will join a vibrant community of science education
research scholars at Arizona State University as part of the Research
for Inclusive STEM Education (RISE) Center. The postdoctoral scholars
will be supervised directly by Dr. Sara Brownell and will be part of an
HHMI-funded Inclusive Excellence team at Arizona State University
consisting of Dr. James Collins, Dr. Sara Brownell, Dr. Ariel Anbar, and
Dr. Paul LePore. There are multiple opportunities for professional
development and opportunities for the postdoctoral scholars to develop
their own interests and projects in science education research. The
start date is flexible.
Position #1: The postdoctoral research
scholar will join a project focused on qualitatively identifying
inequities in student experiences in undergraduate science and working
with undergraduates, graduate students, staff, faculty members, and
administrators to implement more inclusive strategies and promote
