The Department of Management, Marketing, and Industrial Technology at College of Business at the University of Texas Permian Basin invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position in Business Analytics with an anticipated appointment beginning Fall 2021. The successful nominee will join a growing AACSB-accredited College of Business. Growth in demand for expanded undergraduate and graduate programs has created the following opportunity for a committed colleague. The College of Business (http://www.utpb.edu/business) has AACSB-Business accredited programs in six undergraduate majors (Accounting, Energy Land Management, Finance, Healthcare Management, Management, and Marketing), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Professional Accountancy. 

Basic Requirements:   

• Ph.D. (ABD will be considered) in Business Administration from an AACSB Program with specialization in Business Analytics, Information System, Data Science, or a related field. 
• Evidence of teaching in related courses, and 
• Record of publications in quality journals or Demonstration of Potential in publishing at quality journals 
• Expertise working with software and languages such as SAS, R, Python, and SQL, and Hadoop 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Familiar with Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning  
• Familiar with analytical decision making, data visualization, and predictive analytics 
• Able to develop new courses and curriculum based on the college’s needs
