I am writing to inform the academic community that I have stepped down from the position of Editor-in-Chief of the journal due to personal reasons; however, on the request of Sage India management, the publishers of the journal, I will continue my association with the journal as ‘Founding Editor’, in an advisory capacity. I am glad to inform that Prof. Pavithra Kailasapathy from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, a current Associate Editor of the journal, has been elevated to the position of ‘Editor’. Pavithra will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and overall management of the journal. 

I am sure that under Pavithra’s leadership, and with the active support of the members of the current editorial team, peer review board and the advisory board, the journal will scale new heights and will solidify its position as an important scholarly outlet for HRM research in South Asia. Over the last 7 years, the journal has been recognised and listed in the journal ranking list of ABS (UK), ABDC (ANZ), SCOPUS, Clarivate Analytics, and UGC (India), among others. In the last year itself, we have seen over 80% increase in the number of submissions to the journal, crossing 300/annum, while the acceptance rate has come down to 10%. This clearly shows the journal's standing and commitment to quality. 

As a result of the above changes, the journal is now looking for a new Associate Editor. To apply for this position, the candidate needs to  

• have a well-established track record of publication in HRM/OB, preferably, relating to South Asia, as evidenced by publications in ABDC/SCOPUS listed academic journals, at least three of which should be in A* or A ranked journals, 
• be strong in quantitative methodology, and  
• possess a record of peer review experience for reputed journals.
