Williams Endowed Chair in Strategy and Entrepreneurship Strome College of Business Old Dominion University The Department of Management in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University invites applications with an exceptional record of research, teaching and service for the prestigious E.V. Williams Chair position starting in August 2021. Position The E. V. Williams Chair is expected to provide intellectual leadership, publish research in the strategy/entrepreneurship domain in top-tier journals, teach two courses each year in Strategic Management and/or Entrepreneurship, grow the reputation of the entrepreneurship program at ODU, mentor faculty, as well as serve the university, the broader community, and profession. Minimum requirements Minimum required qualifications for the position include: (1) a doctorate degree in Management from an AACSB/EQUIS accredited institution with an emphasis in Strategic Management and/or Entrepreneurship, (2) a strong research record (such as publications in high quality/top-tier peer-reviewed journals and peer-reviewed presentations at national and international conferences), (3) evidence of effective teaching of management courses, (4) evidence of service to the profession (such as serving on editorial boards, editorships, leadership positions in national/regional associations). Preferred requirements As the university is developing an institutional identity in Transitional Entrepreneurship, candidates with a research record in social entrepreneurship, or entrepreneurship among economically distressed communities/women/veterans/ immigrants/ minorities are preferred. Ideal candidates will also have interest(s) in other strengths of the college, such as international business.
