We invite applications for the PhD positions in Strategy and International Business at University of Macau, which will start in August 2021. There are two types of PhD support:

  • The UM Macao PhD Scholarship (MPDS, for a period up to 4 years)

   About $ 30,000 USD/year, Conference/research travel allowance: $1,200 USD/year

  • The PhD Assistantship

   About $ 18,000 USD/year (up to about $ 20,000 USD/year)

 

Requirements:

  • Possess a Master’s degree or academic background recognized as equivalent by the University of Macau.

  • Or possess a Bachelor’s degree with outstanding performance and have demonstrated strong research ability. (Direct Entry for Bachelor’s Degree Holders)

  • Applicants who received their Bachelor/Master’s degree from a university where the medium of instruction was not English are required to provide any of the following as proof of English proficiency:

   Obtained a TOEFL* score of 550 (paper-based examination) / 80 (Internet-based examination) or above; or

   An IELTS* overall score of 6.0 or above with no sub-score lower than 5.5.

   *Note: TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date.
