Michael Enright and George Yip Join D’Amore-McKim School of Business and Center for Emerging Markets at Northeastern U

 

As we start 2021, the Center for Emerging Markets at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern U., is delighted to welcome two stars in the IB field:

 

headshot of michael enrightMichael Enright has joined DMSB as the Pierre Choueiri Family Professor of Global Business. Michael got his PhD from Harvard, worked with Mike Porter on the competitive advantage of nations project, spent 25+ years in Asia in Hong Kong and Singapore, and has deep knowledge of business and government in Asia, particularly China. He has written definitive works on the strategies and organizations of multinational companies, the impact of foreign firms on China’s economy, regional clusters, and the competitiveness of national and regional economies. 

 

 

headshot of George YipGeorge Yip , an emeritus professor at Imperial College Business School, is a Visiting Distinguished Professor of International Business and a Distinguished Visiting Fellow of CEM. George got his DBA from Harvard, taught at several top schools around the world, and has published several seminal articles and books in IB. He is an AIB Fellow and was recently voted to the Thinkers 50 Hall of Fame, where he joins eminent scholars, such as Clay Christensen, Kathy Eisenhardt, and Michael Porter. George’s research interests focus on frontier issues for managers, especially in international business. His current main focus is about the rise of innovation in China and how both Chinese and foreign companies can manage that phenomenon.
