The program gives students an opportunity to deepen their research skills while studying and working at a tropical field station on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. For students who are tired of online learning and looking for something new, it's a chance to explore their passions and earn college credit in a remote, outdoor, socially-distanced setting. The first four weeks consist of a core program focused on four curriculum modules: 1) Rainforest & Wildlife Research 2) Cultural Contexts in Science & Conservation 3) Service & Sustainability 4) Outdoor Leadership With service work and data collection on a wide range of species, including primates, jaguars and leatherback sea turtles, the program grounds academic content in real-life experience.
