Dear Colleagues,

Please note the open position below within the Learning Assistant Alliance.
Those within the field of chemistry education research (or other DBER
fields) are encouraged to apply. Although it doesn't say this on the
position posting webpage, it is highly likely that the person hired into
this position can do the work remotely (*i.e.,* he/she/they wouldn't need
to move to Boulder, CO).

Thank you.
Mary Emenike

*The Learning Assistant Alliance (LAA) is in the process of hiring an LAA
Community Resources Manager. The job posting can be found here.
*

*Overview:* The Learning Assistant Alliance mission is to connect
institutions to support the implementation and assessment of the Learning
Assistant (LA) model with goals of improving educational experiences and
access across the disciplines. The LA model started at CU Boulder in 2001
and has been adopted by hundreds of other institutions across the United
States and internationally. LAs are undergraduate students who, through the
guidance of weekly preparation sessions and a pedagogy course, facilitate
discussions among groups of students in a variety of classroom settings
that encourage active engagement. The International LA Alliance currently
has 2166 faculty/staff accounts from 474 institutions and these numbers are
growing every day. As the number and diversity of community members
continue to increase, there is an associated need for member support in a
diversity of ways. The Community Resources Manager will work with the LAA
Leadership Council as well as with the diversity of individuals, colleges,
and schools to ensure that needs are addressed, with the ultimate goal of
improving educational experiences at the post-secondary level.
