Sterling College is conducting searches to identify three new colleagues in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems to join its faculty in the following areas: Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Craftsbury Common, Vermont (full-time) Sterling College seeks a candidate with experience and expertise in draft animal power and one or more of the following areas: animal-based agroecology, sustainable livestock production, integrated grazing systems, vertebrate biology, pasture or range ecology, and whole farm planning. The candidate will be expected to teach courses in the areas listed above, as well as contribute to the foundational curriculum of the college. In addition, this candidate would provide curricular oversight in the draft animal power systems minor. Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Craftsbury Common, Vermont (full-time) Sterling College seeks a candidate with experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: farm and food policy, community food security, sustainable diets or human nutrition, entrepreneurialism and/or non-profit management or small business management. The candidate will be expected to teach courses in the areas listed above, as well as contribute to the foundational curriculum of the college. Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Port Royal, Kentucky (full-time) Sterling College seeks to complement existing areas of faculty expertise and to strengthen its focus on sustainable livestock husbandry to teach in its Wendell Berry Farming Program. The College is seeking candidates with experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: animal-based agroecology, sustainable livestock production, integrated grazing systems, pasture or range ecology, appropriate technology. The candidate will be expected to teach courses in these areas, and additional courses in their areas of interests. General Qualifications Having relevant teaching experience, subject matter expertise, and advanced academic credentials and/or substantial practitioner experience in related fields is essential.
