This position provides support for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's mission by communicating about Service issues and activities with a wide variety of audiences, including Members of Congress, Native Americans, the news media, other federal and state natural resource agencies, non-government organizations, and individuals. Incumbent serves as a Public Affairs Specialist Service with responsibilities for organizing, planning, and conducting communications activities, including working with partners. In this work, Public Affairs staff use writing, speaking, audiovisual products, and an array of electronic communications media to increase understanding of and support for the work of the Service.
