Hi everyone, Apologies for duplicate postings. Typically, our teams would bring a farmers market to local school districts in Leelanau County this fall, but due to covid-19 restrictions, we are moving to an interactive virtual format. During these webinars, youth and participants of all ages will be guided through a fun, educational virtual farm tour. Participants will see and learn first-hand from the farmer the ins and outs of their farming operation or production business. They may even see some farm animals! The farmers will explain how they grow their product, harvest it, and take it to market. After the virtual tour there will be a live Question & Answer session with the farmer in which participants can ask questions. Register online at: https://events.anr.msu.edu/farmtomarket. The webinars are free. They begin at 10 am, and each one will be about 35-45 minutes long. And while they are geared towards youth, all ages are welcome to join! When registering, participants will choose from three separate registration buttons - individual youth/families, individual adults, or teachers registering a classroom. Once registered, participants will receive a Zoom link by email that gives access to all four sessions. Teachers are encouraged to sign up their classroom and view together (either live or the recorded version). And families and youth who are learning virtually this year or who home school are also encouraged to participate. Please provide the email in which you want the Zoom link sent. All are welcome! For those that cannot attend the live webinar, please register so that you get a link to the recorded webinars to view later. Lots to learn on the farm!
