The 2020
Journal of International Business Studies Paper Development Workshop (JIBS-PDW) will be held online on
Thursday 10 December 2020, as a pre-conference activity 2020 European International Business Academy (EIBA) conference (https://www.eiba.online
).
The JIBS-PDW is organized by Vittoria Scalera (University of Amsterdam, Secretary/Treasurer of the Western Europe Chapter of the AIB) and
Becky Reuber (University of Toronto, JIBS Area Editor).
The purpose of the JIBS-PDW is to provide junior scholars with developmental feedback on their current research projects in International Business. Authors will be paired with senior International Business scholars for two-on-two discussions about their paper.
We invite original papers from
doctoral students orjunior faculty members who have not previously published in
JIBS. We particularly encourage papers from scholars (1) who are located in universities in emerging economies or in universities that offer limited support for international business research, or (2) who
are trained in disciplines less commonly associated with the field (e.g., human geography, political science, or economic history) but interested in conducting international business research.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday1 October 2020. Each applicant can submit only one paper, but you may submit the same (or another) version of the paper for presentation at the EIBA 2020 Conference.
Papers must be less than 10,000 words in length, and should follow the
JIBS Guide for Authors: https://www.palgrave.com/kr/journal/41267/authors/submission
. Your cover page should include all the author names, email addresses and affiliations.
You will be notified about the acceptance of your submission by
2 November, and will need to confirm participation by 15 November, which is the early-bird registration deadline for the conference.
All participants must register for the EIBA 2020 conference before they confirm their attendance at the JIBS-PDW. The JIBS-PDW will involve a one-hour plenary session on December 10, with small group discussions on December 9-12, based on a time that
is mutually convenient for the four participants in your small group.
