Online webinar will update growers and agribusiness industry on current research and outreach

AgBioResearch and Extension will host a virtual field day highlighting
dry bean and
sugarbeet research August 19 from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
"Michigan’s dry bean growers continue to look for efficient, cost-effective ways to maximize the potential of their land. The MSU Virtual Field Day affords them an opportunity to continue to learn and improve their respective operations," said Joe Cramer,
executive director of the Michigan Bean Commission. "We appreciate Michigan State University’s effort to make this knowledge available during these unprecedented times."
Subjects covered will include:
The first half of the event will focus on dry beans, and the second half will focus on sugarbeets. Each presentation will last approximately 10 minutes, including time for Q&A.
Researchers and Extension specialists presenting are:
"This virtual field day will be an excellent opportunity to see the dry bean and sugarbeet research being done by the experts at MSU,” said Bublitz. “The presentations will provide useful information that can be applied to farm operations."
This event will count for two restricted use pesticide (RUP) credits and two certified crop adviser (CCA) credits.
