Future Research Directions in

International Marketing

Research in international marketing has been a vibrant scholarly activity. Naturally, research agenda in this field is impacted by business practice in addition to scholarly interests of researchers. Given the turbulent, fast-changing, and uncertain business environment, what ought to be the new research priorities? What specific research themes are worthy of investigation both from the perspective of practical relevance and knowledge advancement?

Hear the perspectives of Professor Kelly Hewett, the current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Marketing, and Professor S. Tamer Cavusgil, the Founding Editor-in-Chief, on future research in international marketing (IM). Kelly will assess the current research in IM and share the editorial objectives and planned special issues of JIM. Tamer will identify promising research directions in the context of emerging markets.

Key takeaways:

1.  Learn about pressing issues in international marketing from two leading scholars in the field;

2.  Hear the research priorities for publishing in the Journal of International Marketing;

3.  Receive an assessment of IM research in the context of emerging markets.
