• Interns will assist the Executive Director in the planning and implementation of the Georgia State Games Olympic Style Sports Festival

• The Atlantic Council is a think tank located in the field of international affairs and is a forum for international political, business, and economic leaders. With headquarters in Washington D.C., it also creates a meeting place for heads of state, military leaders, and international leaders from both sides of the Atlantic.

• Its annual events include the Distinguished Leadership Awards in Washington, DC; the Future Leaders Summit; the Freedom Awards in Wroclaw, Poland; the Atlantic Council Energy & Economic Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, and the Global Citizens Awards in New York City. It hosts a variety of other political, economic, and business leadership events.

• Hiring Events Interns for Fall 2020

• This position will expose the candidate to the logistical elements of event-planning and fundraising within a think tank.
• The deadline to apply is July 31, 2020, but applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will continue until a successful candidate has been selected.
• The positions are unpaid, but candidates gain valuable skills, experience, knowledge, and contacts in the Washington, DC international policy community. 
• A monthly metro reimbursement is offered, along with workshops, briefings with fellows, as well as other senior-level staff. 

• This Fall internship will be remote due to COVID-19 , however, there is a possibility for in-office opportunities for local interns.

• #ICANHELP is a nonprofit organization that works remotely with hundreds of students and adults nationwide. Their mission is to empower students and support educators to create stronger school communities who know how to use #Digital4Good.

• This year, they have also teamed up with the mental health organization Wellbeing Trust to provide solutions and ways to address the issues through social media.
• They also have partnerships with Google, Facebook, Twitter, Supercell, Providence Health, and many more companies.

• The Events Intern will work closely with the Executive Director to assist with the planning, hosting, and marketing of events for #ICANHELP. 
• Events may include gatherings at sporting events (professional, minor league, and college), meetups, social media takeovers and other seasonal events.
