Dear AIB colleagues, After a successful first edition of the international conference on Business Diplomacy in 2015, the International Business Research Group - Hotelschool The Hague (The Netherlands) (www.hotelschool.nl ) and the University of Deusto (Bilbao, The Basque Region, Spain) (www.deusto.es ) announce the organization of the 2nd International conference on Business Diplomacy. Location: University of Twente (The Netherlands) Campus (www.utwente.nl/en ) Conference venue: University of Twente Campus UPark Hotel (www.uparkhotel.nl/en ) Theme: Business diplomacy: In search of new values, rules and practices This 2nd international business diplomacy conference theme focuses on the questions: What should business diplomacy look like for businesses that aim to provide solutions for today’s grand challenges? What are the new rules, values, norms and practices for business diplomats, businesses and governments? And what is the new way to conduct business diplomacy that can secure a sustainable future? Important dates: Extended abstracts (1000 – 1500 words) submission: Sept 1, 2020 Notice of acceptance: September 16, 2020 Full paper/contributions submission: November 1, 2020 All accepted full papers and contributions will be published (if the authors agree) with an ISSN on the conference website – which will be publicly accessible for at least five years. The purpose of this is to make new ideas on business diplomacy for a sustainable future freely available. In addition a special issue for the International Journal of Diplomacy and Economy on business diplomacy will be prepared with papers presented at the conference.
