Position Summary

The Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology at Michigan State University<http://msu.edu/> is seeking a postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and implementation of the #iteachmsu Commons online educator development platform. This individual will work with faculty and other University stakeholders, as well as team members to design, develop, launch, market, and guide the ongoing implementation of this platform across MSU. Individuals in this position will employ knowledge and skills related to pedagogy, online learning, web design, and professional learning communities. For this position, you should enjoy learning new skills, solving problems, and have a passion for inspiring educators (e.g. faculty, staff, and students) to share teaching and learning resources, connect with other educators, and grow in their teaching practice. You will also develop and deliver workshops and events on this platform and educator development work across campus.



Required Degree

Doctorate

Minimum Requirements

College or University teaching experience. Coursework or training in teaching or pedagogy, as evidenced by graduate-level credits, certifications, and/or workshop facilitation experience. Familiarity with assessment practices. Some familiarity in use or development with course-related technologies such as D2L, Google apps, and Microsoft 365.  Personal engagement with communities that are underrepresented in the academy and an ability to bring this asset to learning, teaching, and scholarship at the college and university level. Likelihood of using the diversity of human experience as an educational resource in teaching and scholarship.
