Call for Applications deadline extended to June 15: IM Division Doctoral Student Consortium 2020
The International Management Division will offer a virtual Doctoral Student Consortium at this year's Academy of Management Meeting (to be conducted online), on Saturday, August 8th, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Doctoral Student Consortium is designed for current PhD students with an interest in international management as either the primary or secondary field of inquiry. We welcome participants from all areas related to international management and all stages of the PhD program to attend, regardless of whether you've only just recently joined or are close to finishing your program.
The consortium will offer both structured and informal discussions between participants and faculty panelists on research, job opportunities, and early-stage career strategies. A substantial amount of time will also be set aside for dissertation development, featuring feedback from faculty in small groups. This is both an excellent opportunity to get valuable feedback on your work as well as a chance to network and get to know your fellow doctoral students and leading scholars in the International Management field.
Immediately following the consortium, participants will be invited to a "Meet the Editors" session. This session will provide a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Editors at some of the leading journals in the field of International Management. The session will be held jointly with the IM Division Junior Faculty Consortium.
Consortium Chairs: Stav Fainshmidt (Florida International University) and Chengguang Li (Ivey Business School)
Faculty Panelists:
Alvaro Cuervo Cazurra (Northeastern University)
Anne-Wil Harzing (Middlesex University)
Becky Reuber (University of Toronto)
