We are delighted to announce that a Virtual

The Competitiveness Review
(CR) aims to be the leading platform for academic research and conceptual policy dialogue on the competitiveness of locations.
Competitiveness, understood as the set of factors, institutions and activities that enable a location to sustain a high level of prosperity and companies located there to compete successfully, requires an inclusive, cross-discipline perspective.
The theme of this issue is ‘Clusters development and innovation generation in a globalized economy’. The promotion of clusters, the increase of knowledge flows and the generation of innovation are crucial in developing and sustaining competitive advantage in
a globalized economy. While it has been extensively investigated by scholars and academics, it is also of particular interest for practitioners and politics.
A selection of 10 articles published in the Competitiveness
Review in the last two years have been gathered by the Editors to help spread the knowledge on this topic to the community.
