The Department of Forestry and Natural Resources is seeking one (1) technician to assist with the Integrated Deer Management Project. The successful applicant will work with Purdue University faculty, staff, and students to study deer populations in Indiana. Technician duties include, but are not limited to, processing of remote camera photos to identify and measure distances to deer, supervising a team of undergraduates in photo processing, retrieving carnivore hair/fecal samples collected by field crews, and preparing samples for genetic analysis. This is a full-time position split between office and field work. There will be frequent travel across Indiana for the duration of the position. Shared housing and a work vehicle will be provided.
