The technician will assist TU staff with projects aimed to restore aquatic connectivity, in-stream, and riparian habitat, and promote the long-term values associated with aquatic restoration. Project duties will primarily include field data collection using a variety of field and survey equipment (e.g., tablet, laser level, total station, etc.). Other duties will/may include various biological assessments, assisting with on-the-ground implementation efforts (e.g., riparian plantings), and possible assistance in project planning, construction oversight, public engagement, and project monitoring. The anticipated employment date range is April through October 2020. Project work areas will be located in Northern Michigan (Lower Peninsula) with, West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
