Hi all - 

We have not made any decisions yet here in Minnesota regarding our summer field courses, but I sense it will not be long before we do. It is only fair to the students that we make decisions sooner rather than later. 

Although this situation is, well let's be blunt, rotten (there are other four-letter expletives I could use here), I am glad to be a part of this community. I will certainly contribute as best I can as we move forward into the 'new normal'. And I look forward to hearing what you all are thinking.

At the current time, we are looking at the accessible field experience lessons learned from IAGD, and then only with the students that absolutely have the course for graduation this summer.  More details later...

Subject: Field camp options?
 
At this time, our university is stating that even summer classes need to be taught online. We teach two field camps each summer for 8-15 of our own students Field Geophysics and Geology, and Field Hydrogeology. At this time, we really do not know what we will be allowed to do and what we will not be able to do.

So, I'll put this question out - Are others planning on doing something differently this summer if you are not allowed to teach face-to-face?
