Tenure-track Assistant Professor in International Business (IB)

 

Korea University Business School (KUBS) (https://biz.korea.ac.kr/en) is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in International Business or International Economics at the Assistant Professor level. The position is open to all areas of international business. The primary responsibility of tenure-track faculty is to conduct high-quality research and to teach IB-related courses in the undergraduate, MBA, and MS/Ph.D. programs. The appointment could start as early as September 1, 2020.

 

JOB QUALIFICATION:

A Ph.D. degree in International Business or a related field, with strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching is required. Candidates are expected to show a strong publication record and/or promising research outputs in the pipeline. ABDs are welcome to apply, provided that the degree will be granted by the appointment date.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The appointee is expected to publish in top-tier IB or related journals (our list of top-tier journals is close, yet not identical, to the one compiled by UTD). The teaching responsibility is six credit hours (two courses) each semester. The courses in our program include all areas in international business. All courses are to be taught in English.


SALARY AND RESEARCH SUPPORT:

We offer highly competitive salary level depending on qualifications and experience. Support for housing and education expenses is available for foreign faculty.

KUBS, accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS and is a member of CEMS alliance, is the oldest and largest business school in Korea at the moment, with about 83 full-time faculty members. KUBS has approximately 2,500 undergraduate students, 650 MBA students, 200 students in MS programs, and 100 Ph.D. students in various majors such as International Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, LSOM, and MIS.

 

ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AREA:

The International Business Area has currently 11 full-time faculty members (the largest in Korea). The current faculty members represent various fields in international business, such as business in China, cross-cultural management, global strategy, international finance, international HRM, international innovation management, international marketing, and international trade.
