Dear AIB Colleagues

As a pre-Conference session of the 47th Academy of International Business UK & Ireland (AIB-UKI) Chapter Conference (2-4 April 2020), an International Business Pedagogy Workshop is being organised by Leeds University Business School, with the support of the Centre for International Business Education and Research at Georgia State University and the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow.

International Business Pedagogy Workshop
Technology in International Business Teaching
University of Glasgow, 1 April 2020 10.30 - 17.00

The preference of Generation Z students and Millennials for how, when and with what to engage in learning, along with the digital transformation of business itself, has far reaching implications for international business educators. In this new teaching reality, how can we best connect and communicate with students on their own terms in order to ensure effective learning and how can we leverage what today's technology can offer in order to make the study of international business more stimulating and inspiring? At this workshop we will consider a variety new technologies and digital developments that have the potential to significantly enhance the pedagogy of international business. We will also learn from practitioners who are already applying new and innovative teaching methods for IB in their classrooms and beyond.

Themes covered at this year's IB Pedagogy Workshop include:

  * Lessons from the move to online teaching
  * Online teaching versus traditional and hybrid modes of delivery
  * Student Response Systems & Team Based Learning
  * Expanding and Shaping MOOC Provision
  * Experiential Learning in the Digital Context
  * Teaching IB Through Virtual Reality
