Hello dear advisors,

Would you please help us share the information below with anyone interested? Students, of course, as well as alum and anyone else interested -all are welcome (including yourselves!).

The US Peace Corps campus recruiters are hosting multiple information sessions the month of March. Please join at least one (or all!) to learn more about what the Peace Corps is, benefits of joining, and how to apply.

Wednesday, March 11, 6:30pm, room 201 in the International Center

There are two parts to this session.
  1. Brief power points with photos, followed by questions and ‘answers’ with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served in Albania, Senegal, and Moldova.
    1. Potential questions: What do Peace Corps Volunteers do? What was your housing like? Did you live with a host family? Did you get sick? Were your loans deferred? Excuse me, but did you say 27 months of service? Isn’t that a long time? Can I go home? Can friends and family come visit? What do you do after Peace Corps?
  2. Overview of application process with recent successful applicants.
    1. Potential questions: When should I apply? What kinds of degrees are necessary? What makes me more competitive? How useful are those annoying Peace Corps recruiters?? (haha)

Wednesday March 25 and Thursday, March 26, both 3:30pm, room 204 in the International Center

Both dates are open to people looking for all kinds of information about the Peace Corps. Come ask your own questions, or listen to others ask theirs!
