We welcome input from people who are planning a commercial orchard as well as from those who have an orchard already. At OFGA, we're working hard on plans for our guide to commercial organic apple growing in the Midwest. We've seen increased interest in starting organic orchards or transitioning conventional orchards to organic. We want to help beginners by publishing detailed information about the growing practices of established growers, together with a frank discussion of the financial aspects of making money from organic orcharding. The survey collects your input and helps us demonstrate support for the project. It's very brief! The Organic Fruit Growers Association plans to publish a manual on commercial organic apple growing in the Midwest. Our goal is to interview experienced apple growers in our region and share their knowledge and practical experience in detail. This publication will not be a general how-to-grow-apples primer which repeats information that is already available. Instead we aim to produce a useful, no-nonsense guide to vital issues: areas of apple growing that are specific to organic, such as pest control or groundcover management, and also the business and financial aspects of making a living as an organic orchardist. We want to know what you think are the most important topics we should cover. Please take this very brief survey<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe4nvDMZ0kwVL4gLneDuFY-AuiT1k_GhHCioxes9diDWrtROg/viewform__;!ioFpBMP7lJU!jD6tuwEoCDFK662GlEtdWE7lhl8m5eulit6hC59kY84KIGVo1ld-MQz2tsVYVA$> before November 18.
